Background
We are angry, and deeply concerned about the rising tide of propaganda, fascism and hate towards the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We are parents, we are artists, we are activists, and we want to take positive action to make a difference.
We see Alberta passing anti-trans legislation that will endanger trans youth, and politicians around us campaigning based on overt lies. We see the rise of right-wing extremism across Canada, especially from the federal conservatives and Pierre Poilievre, but also locally from the BC Conservative Party in our recent election. We are watching in horror as the new US administration under Donald Trump pushes a fascist agenda against diversity and basic human rights, and we feel worried for our future.
We know that many people stand with us on the side of inclusivity, diversity & equal rights and want to make a difference, but don't know what to do. There are many local organizations, groups and individuals who are working to make a difference, but we've noticed a gap in communication. We believe that we need to be more connected, and that we can be more effective if we all work together.

About Us The IPC (Inclusive Peoples Coalition) was founded by a small group in Surrey, BC who want to take positive action. We meet once/month in-person to stay connected and can always use extra hands if you'd like to get more involved.
